Sustainability

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE BCF A GREENER, CLEANER, AND KINDER FESTIVAL!

We understand how important sustainability is and year to year we want to get better. Alongside our partners, we are dedicated to making BCF as kind to the environment as can be. We’ve been looking at power consumption, recycling, single-use plastics, and food waste and making changes to ensure that we are constantly moving towards our ultimate goal, this being a completely carbon-neutral event.

We are in this together! Small decisions collectively make a big difference, so to massively reduce the amount of waste on site we’d love you to;

  • Try using only refillable bottles this year (you can buy one from the Big Church Merch Tent) and fill up at one of our 4 main Water Points where you’ll find the smiley faces of our friends from Barnabas Aid!
  • Make the most of our recycling system by popping all your rubbish in the correct bin.
  • Return any reusable cups from our cafes or bars, or bring your reusable coffee cup from home for all your hot drinks. There will also be a 20p discount on hot drinks when using a reusable cup.

We are proactively removing ALL single-use plastics from BCF by equipping every artist and team member with a reusable bottle, using compostable cups in our cafes, reusable beakers in our bars, and insisting that all our food vendors find alternative serving products and only sell canned drinks.
